Abstract

This study seeks to appraise china’s contribution to infrastructural development in Nigeria. The study was motivated by our desire to analyse the role China has played in aiding the economic development of Nigeria. In spite of the country economy challenges many are of the view that it has increase maximally. It is for the study to justify whether china has contributed or not to the country economy. The study adopted structural/functional theory by Gabriel Almond that analyzed the functionalism of structures in different societies. Documentary (qualitative) methodology approach was used for sourcing of the data with emphasis on secondary source of data. The study discovered that in spite china contributions to Nigeria economy, its domination in the economic system is not far fetch. The study therefore recommends that the relationship between China and Nigeria should continue to exist with Nigeria’s less dependent on china, in order to avoid domination across all major sectors of the economy, but win-win outcome should be giving priority to both country, rather than win-lose outcome.
